Prologue

Within the seemingly sturdy system of Perdita, the divide between dignitaries and commoners is glaringly prominent. When Adriane Corsey, a faithful citizen, manages to break the divide, she finds not the dream-like utopia she was taught to believe, but a menacing system of interwoven lies, blackmail, bribery, theft, fraud, and bankruptcy. With the system crumbling, she must find a way to either save it, like the noble citizen she was taught to be, or destroy it, as she knows is imminent.
