Description
A tribute to Jilly Cooper and her rollocking romps through her fictional, rural county of Rutshire. One or two of her characters make guest appearances but the main characters are all mine. Mark Chatford is a world famous cellist. After having his heart devastatingly broken, he decides to quit the concert platform for good. He heads back to the sleepy Rutshire village of Elderdale where he grew up, determined to compose. Terrie Gallagher is a Lancashire Rose. A drunken one night stand with a male friend results in an unplanned pregnancy. Fearful of spoiling some life long friendships, she leaves her home town forever. Rescue comes in the form of her godmother who is a widow and lives in Elderdale. She provides a home for Terrie and her child.
