Prologue

Raloff Huntsman is not a hero. He is a man like any other, living amidst the nationwide turmoil. With Nordic sea raiders razing villages to the ground, corrupt nobility twisting the law to their desires, and civil unrest giving way to rebellious factions, living within Harlus' borders has become something of fiction. Now is the time for fighters who know no fear, now is the time for leaders who rise to grasp opportunities, and above all, now is the time for Raloff to go anywhere else. He may have been born and raised in the Country of Harlus, but that sure as hell doesn't mean he needs to die along with it.
