Everyday of Kyle Chaste's life has been boring; the same routine in and out. The morning jog with his friend Nate; school, always coming early, a glare of death from the Devil himself Matthew Carwen, track-practice, homework, dinner with dad. Kyle frankly felt as though he was damned to mediocrity until he met Ulysses; well saw.

Kyle thought he found God in this quiet boy with the arcane chocolate eyes, with orphic expressions, the way the room always smelled of petrichor and musk in his wake. And how could he; a mere mortal ask for God's grace?
