Prologue

Ash Cinder never asked for this life. As a child he'd been happy, but after his mother died and his father remarried. Soon after his father fell ill and died too leaving Ash to his step-mother and step-brothers who stripped him of his birthright and inheritance. Since then Ash has served as little more than a slave on his family's farm. When dark secrets he was never meant to know are revealed he has a choice to make. Will he let everything he's ever known and loved fall to ruin or will he risk everything to save everyone?
