How did we get here?' Charlie's smile vanished at once. 'What happened?' she asked him. 'We were in the boats and then...' There was that bright light. Then darkness... Something happened that Spring break, something none of them could understand. One moment they were at the lodge, finally starting to enjoy their school residential, then the next... ... they were somewhere else. Somewhere unknown. Somewhere dangerous.
