hydra had a project back in ww2 called project X they kidnapped a guy ans injected a substance inside him giving him super powers like regeneration and enhanced speed to eventually escape and found by shield slowly learning what he can do and desides to leave shield to be a lone hero to eventually find his way inside the avengers
