Katherine was a typical girl from Idaho. She had friends and a life that she loved. In a days time she found herself in New York City, living with her rich cousins and her family.

Her second cousin, Aidan, who is her age, befriends her and takes her "under his wing". He changed her name from Kathy to Kat and changes her appearance to help her with the NYC life.

Kat struggles in High School, having only one friend who never seems to be at lunch. After being bullied, Aidan and her decide to change how people look at her, with a plan called Operation Fake Boyfriend.
