1938. One year before the start of WW2. Gon Freecss. A young man only 18 years old has decided to enlist in the British Armed Service. He wishes to find his father Ging Freecss. A Four Star General of the Army. Will his choice take him down the path to his father? Meanwhile in another place we meet the Austrian 18 year old Killua Zoldyck. He comes from a line of famous mercenaries who worked for whoever they wanted, for the right price. He has been raised and trained for war and combat.
