What will happen when a new mystery girl enrolls into Wes's high school? The girl is pretty and apparently very smart, because she gets 100% on every test despite having her headphones in and sleeping all class long. She is seen as an enemy by the girls because she could easily steal their man, and the boys see her as a prize to be won. She never really talks and doesn't seem to want friends. Wes, being the 'king' of the school easily thinks she belongs to him, but with his abusive home life and with her giving everyone the cold shoulder, it proves to be a difficult challenge.
