Description
Far into the future of Humanity, a large enigmatic thing known only as The Traveler appeared in the Solar system and began to terraform planets. It rose humanity into was is now known as The Golden Age. However, it was short-lived and the Golden Age gave way to the Collapse. Beings of all kinds began appearing on Earth and attacking humans, almost wiping them into extinction. The Collapse happened because the Traveler had been injured by a foe that has followed it for an eternity. Its true name has been lost to time and legend, now only known as The Darkness. Now, hundreds of years after the Collapse, humanity huddles behind the walls of The Last City, where the Traveler's remaining power is strongest. To protect them, the Traveler created Ghosts, to choose beings lost to death to wield its power and fight back against the Darkness. They are known as Guardians. Sometimes 'Risen'. Diana is one of those chosen. Like all Guardian's her past is a blank slate, but her future seems bright--despite the dangers around her. She's made friends with other Guardians in the tower and found her 'Risen' family. Regardless of what life, the darkness or long slow whispers throw at her, she gets back to her feet and fights back with everything she has.
