Problems, Mirrors and First Days

For a second I hesitated, and then walked to the chair in front of me, propping my bag on the floor in between my legs.

"Yes ma'am" I spoke louder than usual.

I inhaled deeply and exhaled softly, waiting for the counselor to speak.

"There has been a misunderstanding considering your scholarship in this college..."

I sighed.

" We are sorry to say that your scholarship has had some issues and that it has been withdrawn. You have 48 hours to leave the school premises... "

I almost broke down in tears the full scholarship was the reason I was here. I nodded and left the counselors office trying to stop myself from crying.
