Prologue

Riley Eaton was the daughter of Abnegation leader Marcus Eaton. Her father is a terrible man to both her and her brother Tobias. His ways worsen when Tobias leaves Abnegation, but Riley understands why he left. She would have left too. He told her on her choosing day to follow him. When that day comes, Riley is faced with the hardest decision of her life.

Once in Dauntless, she meets her brother and finds close friendships with Tris and Christina. Everything is going fine until she meets Eric Coulter. The ruthless Dauntless leader, but Riley sees something different in him, something good.
