Summary/Disclaimed - Please Read

The busy chaotic streets of London is all fifteen-year-old Grace Nightingale has known since birth but when children start to be evacuated out of the city because of the war, Grace stays behind and refuses to leave her childhood home.

As the war moves closer to home, Grace is forced to leave her home for the country after a direct hit to her house leaves her severely injured and her mother dead.

Despite being away from the war-torn city, Grace can't stop the war raging inside her as she fights to find just where she belongs. Torn between returning to London and staying with the Wilkins, she struggles to deal with the damage the war has left and just what it means for her future.
