Chapter 1

A teen-aged girl named Callie Pequy is holding in an extensive amount of resentment after she moves in with her Uncle and Cousin in the pinewood mountains. She soon finds herself in a predicament after making frequent visits to the quiet and tranquil "pit" in the woods behind her Uncle's cabin. Callie faces growth in this heroic and adventurous tale as she learns the true value of family and friendship while she finds a way to get back home in one piece.
