Caelum Gray hates Eli Montgomery, tries not to think about his past too much, and loves Salus. And then September happens, and suddenly tensions with Eli rise, he's forced to try to remember what happened six years ago, and Salus- the only safe place for modern-day magic-users- is threatened. Caelum has to investigate the threat against Salus or his home could disappear, and that investigation is inextricably tied to his memories, his relationships, and his past.
