Chapter One

Iain Domnail of Cobalt Isle is the fifth son of a Scottish Laird. He has no claim to a title nor lands. He fights along Robert the Bruce and he gets his price at the end of the War; a choice between two noblewomen with large dowries to take as his bride.

Lyall of Astolat is shocked when she hears that she will have to marry Iain. Her repulse from him was declared the very first moment of their meeting. The Cobalt Lighting seems unnerved though.

When Iain is forced to take Lyall for protection, the unknown becomes familiar and both discover a different side of the other.

Their enemy though lurks for one mistake and when they do it, they would have to be very brave to save their love.
