Doe is a human living in a werewolf pack. Her whole life has been secretive and careful, but when it's time to meet her mate, she runs. Unsuccessfully, of course.

Axle is next in line to be alpha in the pack. He hopes his mate is strong, but he gets the girl with asthma.
