Chapter 1: Feathered

"As I looked up, the water trickled down my body, washing away every soap suds on my skin. I shut my eyelids to prevent soap from burning my eye sockets blind. As I felt the hot water flow down my body, I couldn't help but still feel the paint of today's event stuck to my skin. I tried to scrub off the icky feeling, but it was as if it was tattooed to my body. I could still feel its hands crawling up my thigh and I could still feel its breathe against my neck. I wanted it to go away. I wanted it all to go away. I tried to scrub my skin harder and harder to get rid of the feeling. It was no use. All I could do was cry. And that is what I did. Cry alone, in the shower."
