Description
I ran through the forest on all fours, tracking the man who made me an orphan for the last ten years. It was my time, my chance, to finally end what he started, when he murdered my mother and father all those years ago. His scent was getting stronger, which meant that I was getting closer. After a few more minutes of running towards his undeniable scent, I slowed to scout the area. I've been studying his routine enough to know that he takes a morning run every day, and he takes a break from his run at the stream just ahead. There were no other werewolves from his pack in this part of the forest, because their big, bad Alpha told them he could handle himself. He made this almost too easy for me. The sounds of his four paws hitting the ground with such force signaled he was nearing the stream. I was shaking with excitement, ready to watch the life drain from his eyes like he did my parents. So excited, that I didn't hear the other wolf flanking me, until it was too late and his canines were piercing into my throat. The unknown wolf slammed my head into the fallen tree I was hiding behind, and my world went dark. ~ ~ ~ Author's Note: I know I haven't been updating the chapters recently. It has been a very hectic past month. I moved into college, and I plan to try and add a chapter once a week, at least, maybe more. I have to get my schedule figured out, but when I do, there shouldn't be any more long waits. I highly encourage commenting about the story.
