a satyr girl has to travel the continent of borve, going from church to church to relight sacred lanterns. their magical fires have been doused by a force of shadows that wants to pave the way for darker creatures to invade, and her town's light is the only one left. she is the only one capable of making the journey, especially when a weakened shadow latches onto her, trying to steal borve's last hope.
