Alpha Jax has been living with Olga for years, but pretending to be her dog has gotten too ridiculous. So Jax "runs away" with plans of his own to save his town from being infiltrated by a much more feral pack looking to move in.

Olga's gun may be enough to send the alpha-wannabies away from her family's lumber business, and home in Frost Lock, but she doesn't even know werewolves exist. More bodies are turning up mauled in town, and just when her thought-to-be-dog goes missing, an alluring stranger appears at her door with an offer she can't refuse.
