Rosy-Cheeked Little Girl

A young woman is desperate to escape the man she's been yoked to. She's running. Ever since she was born she's been told to follow the rules, to obey the authorities, to do her duty with a sense of honour and gratitude. Ever since she was about eleven she's been told how lucky she is that HE was paying attention to her. Ever since she was twelve she's been telling herself to be strong and that she needs to just toughen up because this is how the world works. At twenty-four she is ready to die.
