Love; war; death; survival, all of which the average human life entails. In times like these, how can we all turn the other cheek and continue living average middle class lives? Formerly known as "A Gondola Ride in Paris," "A Gondola Ride in Georgia" follows the life of a group of late teens--the leader of which being the mayor's son, the hedonistic William Calhoun--as well as two slave siblings as they're all bombarded with obstacles and are challenged to question everything they know during this monumental event in America's history: the Civil War. "A Gondola Ride in Georgia" revisits these concerns-love, war, death, and survival-in the city of Atlanta in 1864 segregated America-right before union soldiers set fire to it-where we realize that not much of America's dark heart has changed.
