Jesse Jo Parker escapes her previous life as a doctor's wife and returns to her grandmother's home town of Harrington Falls, Ohio. She buys her grandmother's cottage, the McNeil Cottage, and starts following her long-held dream of opening a bed and breakfast. Her path; however, crosses that of her former fiancé, Jake Kieran, who brought nothing but pain and tragedy in her life.
