Elizabeth Turner doesn't want her daughter, Zia to know the real fate of her father William. Zia does even know her father's name. Elizabeth would just tell her every time Zia asked her, Elizabeth would tell her that Will died at sea when she was young. Zia knows these are lies because she has heard things about a Turner. Elizabeth locks Zia in her fathers forge on her birthday. Zia makes it out. But then is kidnapped and taken aboard the Flying Dutchman.
