If we actually make it out of this alive, I mean?" Clarke asked distractedly, picking dirt from her hair. "I want a steak. A big, juicy one, like in the old movies they'd show us on the Ark." Bellamy's eyes glazed over for a moment, imagining the smell, breaking awake from his thoughts as Clarke's laughter filled the air. He smirked. "Alright, Princess, what about you? If we somehow manage to avoid death again, what will you do with your life?" Her eyes flickered upwards, meeting his gaze. It was a loaded question. She wanted to make amends with the people who felt betrayed by her. She wanted to stop being Wanheda, to stop being feared for her willingness to do anything for her people. The list was endless. But she knew one thing was for sure: she wouldn't have made it nearly as far without him by her side. Clarke smiled, leaning her head against Bellamy's shoulder. His slight jump told her she had caught him off guard, but he didn't hesitate to wrap an arm around her. "I guess," she began, placing a hand on top of his, "as long as you're there too, it doesn't really matter."
