Smiling against her skin I try my best not to laugh, "Yes I do wonder about that at times, but now all I am thinking about is the time and how you have had a busy day and need to rest after it"

"Okay then, don't talk to me" she says in a groggy voice.

Before I can respond, her whole body relaxes against mine signalling that she just passed out with tiredness.

And at that moment when she is asleep in my arms, vulnerable and free of her thoughts.

I come to the realisation that Elijah might be right.

Maybe this is more than me liking her.
