Author's Note

This is a story about The Crystal Gems many, many years after the show's episode "Change Your Mind". Connie becomes old, as does Steven, but no one is certain what will happen to him, and Steven fuses with her to keep her alive. The gems become deeply concerned for the unnatural fusion after so many years. Stuck as Stevonnie, the human/gem hybrid must learn to let go of the past. And to let go of dying Connie...
