Through the door came my nightmare in human form. I watched as he strode in with his demeaning confidence that suffocated the room. It was second nature to him, as if he truly believed the world revolved around him. This had me questioning my judgment more so than ever. Wondering exactly how I ended up the naïve fool that I felt in this moment. "Aria you truly are beautiful" Richards voice broke the silence. I almost scoffed at the audacity of this man, truly disgusted by his statement given that I knew he was lying out of his ass. What could have possibly possessed me into thinking I could trust this man? It wasn't like I had no fucking brains but clearly I had a temporary lapse of judgment when I let my guard down around him. But he knew that all too well and saying such a sweet compliment to me was his way of playing mind games, something I had figured out over the past 48 hours. "I don't feel beautiful" my soft croaky voice replied with the first thought that came to mind knowing that either way I would have to confront him. Besides I hadn't eaten, showered or done anything today since learning that Richard was lying to me. I was too busy planning on how I would address the situation which by the way wasn't exactly going as planned. I hadn't anticipated what was about to happen but of course I had only minutes to prep myself. "Now we both know that isn't true. I'm sure you just need a good rest" the slight glint in those all to familiar blue orbs seemed to show concern. I almost believed that it was real. Shaking my head as a way to get rid of my ridiculous thoughts and to drag me back to reality. There was absolutely no way I would fall for his shit again so I asked a question breaking the intense spell. "Did you do it?"
