Chapter 1

Her heart thunders in her ears as she ducks into an alleyway. The wailing of the creatures behind her makes her skin crawl, goosebumps breaking out. Sulfur floods the air and she bites her lower lip so hard it breaks. Tears stream down her eyes as she slowly counts the seconds to her demise.
