Prologue

I heard a crack of a stick behind me. My blood is now ice as I quickly turn around. I solid figure blocks my vision.
"Oh it's you," I gasp.
He laughed.
"You got lucky it wasn't the stalker guy," he tells me.
"Excuse me?"
"You know the guy that leaves you flowers, and stole the shells," he says.
"Oh, right," I forcefully laugh, but my hair stands up.
"Well, see ya, Lacey," he bids farewell.
"Bye."
I don't remember telling him about my stalker.
