Doctor Coshorn is tasked with investigating a metallic sphere that mysteriously appeared on the beach of a hot summer morning. Upon putting the clues together, Coshorn realizes this sphere is a vessel designed for traveling through time. While Coshorn wants to follow the regulations of his job, he can't help but think about who he can save with this machine.
