Trevor Bowman, Kentworth High school royalty, takes a bet with his friends to make gay school mate, Lance Tiffin, fall in love with him and then humiliate him on prom night. But it's okay because Trevor, like everyone else, hates Lance.

But things get a bit complicated when straight Trevor, who has a girlfriend, finds himself developing feelings for Lance.
