"If only love were that simple" I sighed, reminding my erratic heart that this was just a game he was trying to play. "Well, I must confess otherwise, it can be as simple as we want it to be," He said stalking towards me, armed with the strawberry. He stopped closed enough to count all the freckles on my cheeks yet not close enough to touch. His breath teased my lips while his eyes danced with fire. Slowly raising the fruit to my lips he said, "See, just as simple as that" before leaning forward to take the other end in his mouth. The reunion of two old flames can burn the whole world to the ground, especially when the past fuels even more misunderstandings and pain. A messy highschool breakup left both Isadora and Aiden with nothing but feelings of intense loathe towards one another, and being apart for six years did nothing to lessen the intensity of hatred between the two.
