The residents of Quartzwater City have gone mad in the hunt for a hidden treasure and Max thinks he can use his "unparalleled" detective skills to get an inside track. But can he compete with a mysterious seemingly all-powerful being that seems to be one step ahead at all times? Meanwhile Maurice remains trapped in the body of a chicken and Zeke's wandering around somewhere getting himself into trouble like only he can.
