Chapter One

I remember when I was little I used to pretend that the hard wood floor was made of lava. I would jump from one object of furniture to the next, even sometimes a table. My mum would always scream at me and tell me to get down, but I always replied,
"It's my way of survival!"
She would just roll her eyes at me and then give up, blaming it on my childish ways. But when I got older I never realized that the crazy furniture jumping would actually save my life...
