Jean Paul "Jackie" Mahoney is doing fine in college, doing great, even! That is, until his ex-girlfriend returns from prison.
Now Jackie is a mess, suffering from panic attacks, paranoia, and resorts to self harm in order to find some way of control. When Jackie takes his cutting too far, his fate falls into the hands of his best friend, and future lover, Kent Willis.

Love blossoms for the two, which is great, wonderful, even!
The only thing is, up until this very moment, they had both thought they were straight.
