Starla was adopted by Stan and Ruth Sorenson when she was found on their doorstep at sixth months old. She doesn't remember her family or who she is -- although the light creatures seem to be in awe of her, and the dark creatures seem frightened. She tries to find out who she is, but the disaster keeps interfering....
