“Not really. I don’t think you know this but I’m not like most girls. As you can tell I listen to Blink-182 while every other girl listens to Britney Spears.”

Alex stayed silent.

“And what makes me more different than other girls is that I will always be here for you.”

Alex stared at me until a smile erupted on his face. He gently hugged me. I had to stand on my tippy toes in order to hug him properly.

“Thank you,” Alex whispered in my ear.

“You’re welcome,” I whispered back.
