About the Book

Balik is a 19-year-old male warrior who is going to become the next Wampum keeper. His parents are about to make him marry a girl named Daharini, who is snooty and plain rude. He has his eye on this one girl, who is very different than other girls, who's name is Salila, and is mysterious and kind. He wants to marry Salila, but his culture won't let him. Let's just say stuff happens and secret sparks fly.
