The world of Stones and Jewels is split by caste. You cannot rise, only fall. When the King wages war on the neighbouring nation of Grennis, the citizens begin to act out but are quickly silenced. Will reform rise from the tide of adversity? ○**○**○**○ She peeled back her scarf so that it hung loosely around her neck, revealing a jagged scar across her jawline close to her ears but proudly displayed despite the thick braid of ink-black hair that could easily have covered it if let down. The letters were small, but I could read them all the same. This woman had been branded with what she was, what she was born as. STONE, the letters read raggedly and unevenly, though carved with a delicateness that one would think the person who had done this to her had all of the time in the world to do so. She peeled her lips back to reveal white teeth, a small chip in one of her incisors when she noticed my eyes as if she could feel my curiosity boring into her skin. "Welcome to the Insurgents," she paused for a moment, straightening her posture and sitting her hand snugly on her hip. "I hope you can fight little girl."
