Chapter One

The waves crashed in and out as Kathryne walked down the dark sandy beach. Her shoulder length a line bob blew softly in the wind, wisping her natural brown curls around gently. As she walked, she let her toes bury into the sand, feeling each little grain of cold sand. It had been quite some time since she had visited this place. Her family owned the small home just up a small hill on Kathryne's Lane. Kathryne loved this beach.

"Kathryne." A voice called out.

"Impossible." She thought. The voice she heard belonged to someone who left her long ago. Turning around, she gasped.

"You can't be here. Not yet." The voice called out.

"Wait, how are you-"

And just like that, everything went black.
