Prologue

Amy Williams is a fourteen-year-old girl.

But she sees something that changes her life forever.

A blue moon.

The moon is somehow blue, and not long after she gets a strange ability.

Controlling the weather.

She meets Sophie Foster, a fifteen-year-old girl who also has strange abilities.

And there are lots of people like her in the Lost Cities.

But nobody has ever seen Amy's ability.

They have gusters and hydrokinetics, but they can't actually fully control the weather.

But Amy can.

And so can James, Amy's best friend from school.
