Prologue

She was supposed to die. They thought she did. The world forgot about Faith Johnson.

After an extremely close brush with death, Faith has been stuck in limbo. She can now see with her own eyes the supernatural beings that she was raised to hunt - demons, ghosts, anything that lurks in the dark.

With no family to support her, Faith has been living on her own, killing demons and stealing money to be able to take a bus across the country to find her mother. The night before she departs, she is visited by an angel named Genesis, who was sent to escort her to California.

Will Faith make it to her mother safely, or will she be taken by the reaper that has been on her tail since the day she was supposed to die?
