Chapter 1

James Manne is a star quarterback who just wants everyone to forget about him so he can follow his dream and go to art school. His life comes to a screeching halt when he is kidnapped and wakes up in a prison cell next to a girl who had been presumed dead for months. Together with this new acquaintance, James will need to fight for his life... quite literally.

Josh Manne has spent the past 4 years investigating a string of murders of an unusual nature. Children are being kidnapped and showing up months later, beat to death. When his nephew, James, goes missing, detective Manne knows that if he doesn't solve this case, his own flesh and blood will become yet another victim.
