Prologue

Lars has been wondering if Xuli and Kyan have more on their minds than they're letting on.
Foz is questioning if magic really exists.
Kyan doesn't know how much longer he and Xuli can hide their powers from the others.
Xuli wonders if her kits will ever know their father.
When an army arrives at the Academy, there isn't much to do except fight...
But some parties have laid down their weapons.
