A one shot fanfic based on Episode 33 of Fushigi Yuugi entitled "Nuriko.. An Eternal Farewell" This is a sample entry for the FY fb group Fushigi Yuugi Universe's Fanfic contest. I dedicate this to a friend who recently passed away in an untimely death. Everyone loves happy endings but sadly this is not the reality in this world. We encounter tragedies that break our hearts but prepare us to be the best version of ourselves. Loss makes us appreciate the blessings and the life we live. Going by Nuriko's line , "You must appreciate being alive..." This is so true...because life is fleeting and we only live once. So do what makes you happy... Love more,forgive more,smile more often.
