Prologue

Book 1-A young slave girl is sold to a new master, Lord Tristan, a young, handsome man who has just come into his vast inheritance. All seems well until misfortune strikes, an assassin, a battle with bad odds, the loss of his fortune, and a mysterious uncle. Lord Tristan is determined to discover the root of these disasters, but his chance of survival is very slim. (My rating: PG, semi-intense violence, no sexual content whatsoever, no swearing)
