"Never say goodbye," he grinned as he turned back towards me, "it ruins the chances of ever meeting again."

"And what makes you think we'll ever see each other again?" I couldn't help but smile.

"You never know what fate has in store Maya."

"Then consider this a 'see you later'," I replied.

"You know what," he smirked whilst pointing a finger in my direction, "I'll hold you to that."

Leaving me with a wink over his shoulder, he went his way and I went mine. Never to see each other again.

Oh how wrong I was.
